MARTIN HAUSLER

Substrate Gallery in Los Angeles is pleased to present Martin Hausler's L.A. ICONIC'S photo exhibit. This will mark the first major U.S. exhibition for Hausler, who has emerged as one of the leading portrait photographers in both the US and European markets. The show will feature images of Los Angeles related music and film talent photographed in portrait sessions – each photo capturing the subject at their most 'iconic'.

Hausler's stylized approach to photography is direct and energetic, in addition to his classic black and white and color photography, he is known for his production of large format prints that correspond to the talent‘s on stage persona. Hausler is also one of the first portrait photographers to shoot and print in 3D, without the use of customary 3D glasses. Substrate Gallery will showcase the photographers latest 3D work that includes portraits of rock legends Meat Loaf and Lemmy Kilmister from Motörhead. Exhibition curated by Ramses.

Visitors to the exhibition can expect a 360-degree view of these "L.A. Iconic's", with portraits that also include Disney teen star Ross Lynch, actor Terry Crews, singer Nikka Costa and legendary choreographer Fatima Robinson among many others. Hausler has earned a reputation for his ability to create photographic moments that balance the subject, setting and light.

Meat Loaf: „This guy is one of the greatest photographer ́s of all time – If you miss it, you are wrong!“ Terry Crews: „Once you get in front of this German’s camera. There is no way out!“. This exhibition will be on display at Substrate Gallery in Los Angeles from December 4th to 21st 2014.  Artist information: www.martinhausler.com
